The eastern end has been called the Paris end since the 1880s, when the gold money planted plane trees and put up verandahs to imitate a boulevard, and the name stuck to a stretch of about three blocks. The western end is banks, and the two ends have been arguing about which is the real street for a century and a half.
This is a street, not an entry in the atlas. It resolves upward to the city that holds it.
