Three garden districts laid out from 1915 by an English company on the model of Hampstead, with curving streets set against the grid the rest of São Paulo was getting. The curves survive and so do the trees, and Rua Oscar Freire inside them is the retail address of the largest city in the southern hemisphere.
This is a quarter, not an entry in the atlas. It resolves upward to the city that holds it.
