Canton Road
in Hong Kong
Portrait
The road faces the harbour on ground that was water until it was reclaimed, and the shops on it were built to catch arrivals from the Star Ferry and the cruise terminal rather than residents. The queues outside them in the 2010s became a political subject in Hong Kong, which is unusual for a shopping street and not unusual here.
This is a street, not an entry in the atlas. It resolves upward to the city that holds it.
