Estonia
Estonia's two entries face opposite directions. Tallinn keeps one of the most complete surviving Hanseatic town centres in Europe, walls and all, and looks west across the Baltic; Narva sits on the eastern border with a castle facing a Russian fortress across a river seventy metres wide, and its population is overwhelmingly Russian-speaking. The country contributes the medieval north and the frontier in the same small territory.
