Kenya
Kenya's pair separates the Swahili coast from the safari economy. Lamu is the oldest continuously inhabited Swahili settlement, founded in the fourteenth century, and has almost no cars — donkeys and boats do the work; Nairobi is the regional business capital, and its national park holds large game within sight of the skyline, which is true of nowhere else. The atlas keeps them apart because they explain different things.
