Oman
Oman's pair divides the country by monsoon. Muscat is the capital between mountain and sea, low-built by decree — no tower may exceed a set height, which is why the skyline reads as it did fifty years ago. Salalah, a thousand kilometres south, catches the Indian Ocean khareef each summer and turns green while the rest of the peninsula burns, which is the only place in Arabia where that is true.
