Tanzania
Tanzania's two entries are the coast and the gateway. Stone Town was the seat of an Omani sultanate that ran the East African clove and slave trades, and its architecture is Arab, Indian and African in the same doorways; Arusha is the town people pass through to reach the northern parks, and its entry rests on that function rather than on itself. One is a destination, one is a door, and the atlas records the difference plainly.
