Zagreb

Kaptol, the bishops' town, and Gradec, the free citizens' town, spent centuries in dispute across a stream, and the street where they fought is still called Krvavi Most. The city now runs on café terraces and has the strangest museum in Europe, the Museum of Broken Relationships, assembled entirely from objects donated by the heartbroken.
