Named for a British king in 1918 as a wartime courtesy, the avenue holds the George V hotel of 1928 and Crazy Horse and the Champs-Élysées end of the golden triangle between them. It is the shortest of the three streets that make that triangle and the one where the hotel, rather than the shops, sets the address.
This is a street, not an entry in the atlas. It resolves upward to the city that holds it.
