Street · France
Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré
in Paris
Portrait
The street runs from the Élysée Palace westward and carries the president, the British and American embassies and Hermès within a few hundred metres of one another, which is a concentration of protocol no other retail street has to work around. Hermès has been at number 24 since 1880, having started as a harness maker for carriages that used this road.
This is a street, not an entry in the atlas. It resolves upward to the city that holds it.
