Parioli
in Rome
Portrait
Laid out in the 1920s on hills above the Villa Borghese for the professional classes of the new capital, with villas and gardens where the rest of Rome had courtyards. The name became an adjective — pariolino — for a particular kind of Roman, which is a fate few quarters achieve.
This is a quarter, not an entry in the atlas. It resolves upward to the city that holds it.
