Mariachi began in the villages of Jalisco and tequila is distilled from blue agave in a town of that name an hour away, so Mexico's two best-known exports are both local. Orozco painted the dome of the Hospicio Cabañas with the Man of Fire in 1939, and his murals in the government palace are the fiercest political painting in the country.
