Quarter · Portugal
Príncipe Real
in Lisbon
Portrait
The quarter grew around a garden with a cedar planted in 1878 and trained flat on a frame until its branches covered twenty metres of shade. Antique dealers held the streets for a century and the fashion houses took them in the 2010s, which is the usual sequence and rarely this visible.
This is a quarter, not an entry in the atlas. It resolves upward to the city that holds it.
