Quarter · South Korea
Seongbuk-dong
in Seoul
Portrait
Walled gardens behind the old city wall, on the slope where the Joseon court kept its retreats and where the ambassadors' residences went after 1953. It is ten minutes from the centre and looks like countryside, which is the entire reason it costs what it does.
This is a quarter, not an entry in the atlas. It resolves upward to the city that holds it.
