The freehold belongs to the Crown Estate and the road is gated at both ends with police posts, since about half of it is embassies and the other half private houses on long Crown leases. It has ranked among the two or three most expensive streets in the world for two decades, and almost nobody who is not resident or diplomatic has walked its length.
This is a street, not an entry in the atlas. It resolves upward to the city that holds it.
