The street runs the eastern edge of Hyde Park and was where the great houses stood before most of them came down between the wars — Dorchester House, Grosvenor House, Londonderry House, all replaced by hotels carrying their names. It is the only one of the eight canon streets that is not a retail address: what is sold on Park Lane is the view and the ground beneath it, which is why a retail rent test does not reach it.
This is a street, not an entry in the atlas. It resolves upward to the city that holds it.
