Yerevan

Yerevan's founding inscription from the Urartian fortress of Erebuni is dated to 782 BC, making it older than Rome by twenty-nine years — a fact Armenians enjoy. Alexander Tamanian replanned the city from 1924 in concentric circles using local tuff, which ranges from pink to orange and gives the whole centre one colour under the sun.
