Procida is four square kilometres of fishermen's houses in ochre, pink and yellow — painted so that returning boats could pick out their own from the water — with no famous ruin and no fashionable hotel, which is why Capri and Ischia take the traffic. It was Italy's Capital of Culture in 2022; go now, before that fully registers.
