Playa del Carmen

In 1990 this was a landing of some three thousand people where the boat left for Cozumel, and the census of 2020 counted three hundred and four thousand. A hundredfold in thirty years made it, for two decades, one of the fastest-growing cities in Latin America, and the town is visibly younger than most of the people walking through it.
