Alice Walton built Crystal Bridges in her hometown in 2011 with a collection of American art from the colonial period to the present, in Moshe Safdie buildings straddling a spring-fed ravine — the money came from the company her father founded here, whose headquarters is a few streets away. Admission is free, permanently endowed.
