Niseko

Cold air from Siberia crosses the Sea of Japan, picks up moisture and drops it on Hokkaido — Niseko receives around fifteen metres a season, some of the lightest snow anywhere. Australians discovered it in the 1990s because the seasons are opposite, and the resort is now so international that English is often the working language on the mountain.
