Portrait

The blue and white came from Baron Rodolphe d'Erlanger, a French painter who settled here in 1912 and persuaded the authorities to mandate the palette across the village; his palace, Ennejma Ezzahra, is now a museum of Arab music. Below the cliff is the port; above it, Carthage is fifteen minutes away by the suburban train.
