Bodrum

This was Halicarnassus, where the Mausoleum stood as one of the seven wonders until crusaders quarried it to build the castle that still guards the harbour. The town divides cleanly: the whitewashed centre and its gulet fleet on one side, the Bodrum peninsula's bays on the other, where the sailing week and the beach clubs happen.
