Göcek is a small town with six marinas and twelve islands offshore, and the whole bay is a protected area where construction is heavily restricted, so the anchorages stay wooded and empty and the Blue Cruise gulets start here. Dalaman airport is twenty minutes away, which is the practical reason the fleet is based in this particular bay.
