Telluride
Box Canyon Premiere
Portrait
Telluride sits in a glacial box canyon with one road in, and its festival — held each Labor Day weekend since 1974 — refuses to publish a programme in advance, so ticket-holders arrive not knowing what they will see. Several Oscar winners have premiered here, and the town was where Butch Cassidy robbed his first bank in 1889.
