Portrait
Santa Fe was founded in 1610, making it the oldest state capital in the United States, and in 1957 it wrote Pueblo Revival into law — flat roofs, projecting vigas, earth-coloured stucco — so that new buildings must look old. The city has the third-largest art market in the country, and the Palace of the Governors is the oldest continuously occupied public building in America.
