Vancouver
Between Ocean & Peaks
Portrait
Vancouver runs between the Coast Mountains and the Salish Sea on a peninsula so constrained that a thousand-acre rainforest, Stanley Park, sits ten minutes from the financial district. The seawall circles the whole peninsula on a bicycle; then ride the SeaBus across for the skyline against snow — in March you can ski at Grouse in the morning and sit on a beach by four.
