Ischia

Ischia is the emerged part of a volcanic complex, with hot springs across the island and beaches where thermal water surfaces through the sand — at Sorgeto you bathe in the sea where it is heated from below. The Aragonese castle stands on a separate islet joined by a causeway, and the island has been a cure destination since the Greeks.
