Ohrid

Lake Ohrid is among the oldest and deepest in Europe, with over two hundred species found nowhere else, and the town on its shore was where Cyril and Methodius's disciples established the first Slavic university in 886 — Glagolitic and then Cyrillic literacy spread from here. The claim of a church for every day of the year is traditional rather than counted.
