Montreal

Montreal is the largest French-speaking city outside Paris and sits on an island in the St Lawrence, with an underground city of thirty-two kilometres built to survive the winter. Yoshua Bengio's laboratory made it one of the world's deep learning centres, which brought Google, Meta and Microsoft research offices to a city already known for circus, jazz and bagels.
